Project Description

The uniqueness and the contribution of DESCO, the country leading energy regulatory organization demands the challenge of making an identifying, bold, and statement oriented physical entity. The design of the project intends to meet the demand and to explore a new approach to visualize a corporate icon. The design evolved around a central courtyard – a place attracting and accumulating people sharing the festivity, unifying the commonalities, strengthening the corporation into a tight urban enclave-where the drama of horizontal arrangement experiences in to vertical staggering, free flowing spaces, inter level physical connections, windering bridges and sculptural framing of the sky ensures the feeling of being together. The changing mood of daylight and it’s various patterns along the whole year have been integral part of the composition of main building façade. The building stands out of firm base, evokes from the ground, becomes light as it grow up and floats as it reaches its top. The manicured garden at the top level offer a corporate crown within a busy urban context. The intension in the lay of each floor was to create a large horizontal uninterrupted space, which accommodates the entire office set up under a roof. The uniform Column Layout with large span enables the office space with maximum flexibility, efficient utilization of energy, optimization of the building support system along with the optimum result in car parking which all together results in to a higher efficiency in building overall operation and central maintenance. The interior of the building is well thought and with the elegance of the building, the height of ceiling, inner walls, exterior glass surface, climatic responsive fins (lamella) allows a subtle and ample ambiance, enhances the space and transcends into a higher dimension. People working inside consciously or subconsciously cherish the loft central courtyard, the bridges and the external views & vista of the Airport road propagate the feelings into a human oriented environment.
